CUSD Equity Lecture and Film Series - An Evening with Mr. Oskar Knoblauch and Mr. Rana Singh Sodhi A Conversation between a Holocaust Survivor and a Sikh: Lessons About Our Shared Humanity and the Importance of Forgiveness and Redemption. Join us for our March lecture as we create a space to hear from a Holocaust Survivor and a Sikh. For it is in our suffering that we emerge as victors. Khali Gibran, a Lebanese poet wrote, “Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls. The massive characters are seared with scars.” In this conversation, you will hear two people living their humanity. How do we as humans emerge from suffering? How do we forgive others who are implicated in our suffering? How do we restore the dignity of others who have failed to meet our expectations, in the classroom, school, community, and or in the larger global space? What does this mean for each one of us in the CUSD learning community?
