2024 CUSD Governing Board Candidate Forum
School boards are run by unpaid elected volunteers who dedicate their time to leading their local district, including hiring the superintendent, developing a budget, & setting school policies.
This election year, Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) has 3 open seats on their school board, so, to help you make an informed vote, the Chandler Chamber's Good Government Committee is hosting a free Candidate Forum on Wednesday, August 28 at the Chandler Unified School District Office Board Room, starting at 5:30pm.
Before attending the Candidate Forum, candidates seeking endorsement received a preliminary questionnaire to gather essential information about their campaign, platform, & background. Qualified candidates who completed the questionnaire were invited to participate in an endorsement interview. Candidates who completed both processes were invited to attend the Candidate Forum.
After the Candidate Forum, the Good Government Committee will discuss candidate evaluations & make an official endorsement recommendation to the Chandler Chamber Executive Committee for review. The Executive Committee will present the final recommendations to the Chandler Chamber Board of Directors for final approval & an official Chandler Chamber endorsement. The Chamber CEO & staff are not involved in the endorsement decision process.
The 2024 CUSD School Board Candidate Forum will be moderated by a third-party. While this event is free & open to the public, advance registration is required prior to attendance.
